A real relationship
You get an advisor, not an account number.
Choosing a plan takes an afternoon. Living with it takes a year. We are here for the whole year — sorting out enrollment, answering the questions your employees are too polite to ask twice, and calling the carrier so you do not have to.
You will know the people looking after your business, and they will know you — by name, by industry, and by what matters most to your team.
How we help
Four ways we look after employers
Every business is different, so what we do for you is scoped to your business. Not every product or service is available to every employer.
Employee Benefits
We help you build benefits your employees actually value — and that you can afford to keep offering.
- Medical, dental and vision
- Life and disability
- Plans matched to your team, not a template
- Straight answers at renewal
Business Insurance
We help protect your business, and we tell you plainly what each policy does and does not cover.
- Workers' compensation
- General and commercial liability
- Employment practices liability
- Umbrella and property coverage
HR and Employer Support
We make benefits easier to run for whoever handles them — usually someone who already has another job.
- Help with the day-to-day admin
- COBRA coordination
- New-hire onboarding
- Plain-English employee communication
Concierge Client Service
Our biggest difference: you get premium, personal service — the kind smaller employers rarely get offered.
- We pick up the phone
- You work with the same people every year
- We chase the carrier so you do not have to
- Your employees can call us directly
What makes us different
Insurance should feel personal.
Every employer we work with gets the same white-glove attention a much larger company would expect — a named advisor, direct access, and help whenever your team needs it.
When you call, someone answers
A real person who already knows your account and can pick up the conversation where you left it.
Your employees can call us too
ID cards, claims, a bill that looks confusing — they can come straight to us, and we take it from there.
The same faces every year
You work with the same small team season after season. The relationship is the product.
Why we are called Strata Shield
Layers of protection
Strata means layers. Our shield stands for the four that most employers need — each one supporting the others.
01
Commercial Property & Casualty
The building, the equipment, the vehicles — the things your business runs on.
02
Employee Benefits
Health, dental, vision and more, built around the people who do the work.
03
General Liability
Cover for the everyday risks that come with serving customers and the public.
04
Workers' Compensation
Protection for your team, and for you, when someone gets hurt on the job.
Why employers stay with us
Real people. Real advice. Real relationships.
When you call us, someone answers — someone who knows your business, your renewal and your people. That is the whole idea behind Strata Shield.
An advisor who knows your business
You work with the same people every year, so you never have to re-explain how your company is put together or what you decided last renewal.
Support your employees can use
Your team can call us directly with a question about a card, a claim or a doctor, and get a person who will follow it through to an answer.
Options explained in plain language
We lay out what each option costs, what it covers and what it will mean day to day, then leave the decision with you and the reasoning in writing.
A relationship that runs all year
Enrollment is the start, not the finish. Mid-year changes, billing questions and renewal planning all come back to the same team.
Our people
A local, family-run agency.
We have been advising employers since 2004, throughout California, Texas and Florida. You will work with the same small team the whole way through.
You will get to know the advisors who look after your account, and so will your employees — they can call us directly with a question any time.

Client experience
In their words
“They have been taking care of our company's medical coverage for several years now. They take the time to work with our employees individually, answering their questions and helping them find the health care plan that fits. Reliable and always available for our staff.”

Common questions
Questions employers ask us first
We focus on small and midsize employers — the businesses large enough to need a real benefits and coverage strategy, but not large enough to have a dedicated in-house benefits department. If you are not sure whether we are a fit, a short conversation will make it clear.
We can help employers evaluate group medical, dental, vision, life, short-term and long-term disability, and voluntary benefit options. Availability, eligibility and carrier participation vary by employer, group size and location.
Yes. A benefits review looks at your current plans, contribution structure, employee experience and renewal history, and identifies where there may be opportunities. A review is an evaluation and consultation — it does not bind coverage or replace your formal plan documents.
Yes. We support open enrollment communication, employee questions and renewal evaluation. The specific level of support is agreed with each employer.
Yes. Many of the employers we work with need both. We can discuss commercial coverage such as workers' compensation, general liability and employment practices liability alongside your benefits program.
A general sense of your employee count, your current plans and renewal month, and the questions or frustrations you would like solved. Please do not send medical, Social Security, policy or employee census information through the website — we will arrange a secure method for anything sensitive.
No. Requesting a consultation starts a conversation. Insurance coverage cannot be bound, changed, renewed or cancelled through this website or a website form. Coverage is subject to application, underwriting, carrier approval and policy terms.
We aim to respond to consultation requests on the next business day. If your matter is time sensitive, calling the office is the fastest route.
Let's have a conversation about your business.
Tell us about your team and we will tell you honestly how we can help. A friendly conversation, on your schedule.
